Important Things To Remember
Check in with somebody immediately
when you arrive at the set/location and if going anywhere
(ie: to your car or the loo) let someone know in case
you are needed back on set urgently – even if
you are cleared for lunch please do not go off for an
hour without letting anyone know where you are going.
NEVER BE LATE – always allow
plenty of time to get to the call in case of bad traffic
or tube problems. If you are running late ALWAYS call
the office/emergency number to let us know.
Booking Out
Make sure that when you are not available for castings
or jobs you let us know. We work on the principle that
you are available at all times unless you have told
us otherwise. If we know we can trust that your book-outs
are up to date, you will get more work as we can put
you forward, safe in the knowledge you will definitely
be available. We can then leave messages pencilling
you, knowing you won’t ring back with “I
am not available”. Those who book out regularly
and keep us up to date with their availability do tend
to get more work and castings.
Broken Lunch/Dinner
This applies if you have less than one hour for your
lunch or supper breaks.
Call Times
It is your responsibility to check in with us the working
day before a job to get your call time and any other
relevant information so give us a call preferably between
4pm and 6pm as all calls tend to come in later in the
day. If you are given the call direct by a client, you
must let us know, otherwise we continue to try to contact
you unnecessarily and may have to replace you if you
are not contactable which causes problems for everyone.
Casting Declaration Forms
Please be sure to keep with you at castings a fully
comprehensive list of all the commercials you have appeared
in as a featured artist, in the UK and abroad, over
the last three years and make sure that you list these
on any casting declaration forms that you are given
at the time of casting. If you film a commercial without
making this declaration, you could find yourself in
breach of contract. Also, do not automatically agree
to fees mentioned on casting forms – simply put
‘see agent’. If this causes problems, please
call the office from the casting. Fees must not be agreed
without our prior consent.
Checking In
You should check-in at least 2-3 times a week –
preferably not between 1pm and 2pm or after 5pm as we
try to take a lunch break/catch up at lunchtime and
we endeavour to have all calls given out by 6pm.
Chit/Voucher
NEVER SIGN A RELEASE FORM without checking with the
office first unless it is an approved salary voucher
or studio chit. If you are on a commercial/corporate
or photographic shoot, the agency should approve it
before it is signed.

Definite Bookings
If you are on a provisional/pencilled booking for us
and are offered a definite booking by someone else,
check with us first as our job may have been confirmed
in the meantime. If it is not confirmed, once we have
checked with the client, we will immediately release
you so you don’t lose any definite work. Once
you are confirmed, please call the office the afternoon
before you get your call time, location, wardrobe details
and we will confirm your fee for that particular job.
Featured Artist/Walk-On on
a TV Commercial
A Featured Artist is someone who is seen or heard in
a commercial whose individual role plays an essential
part in the telling of the commercial story. A Walk-On
is someone whose performance can be removed and the
commercial would still make sense.
Finish Time/Wrap Time
A booking is for the day until you are cleared by the
production company. Should you have commitments in the
evening, please tell us before you accept the booking
as you cannot leave before the end of a shoot under
any circumstances. We need finish times for every job
as we are not informed by production crews of these.
Often you finish at different times, with some people
doing overtime and some not. If we have to ring and
chase finish times, it delays the invoice which consequently
delays the payment. Also if you have a broken/late lunch
or broken/late supper, can you please ensure that you
take a note of the times and give these to us as well.
Pencilled Bookings
See Provisional Bookings
Provisional/Pencilled Bookings
If you are provisionally booked (or ‘pencilled’)
on a job for us and are offered a definite day’s
work from someone else, give us a call first and we
will either confirm our job or release you. Don’t
ever turn down a definite booking because you are on
a provisional for us, but give us the choice of confirming
or releasing you as you are on first provisional for
us. We know this is a nuisance but is the only way we
can work.
Photographs and CVs
It is vital that we have constantly updated CVs and
photographs, so keep us up to date with any measurement
changes, hair cuts, hair colour, facial hair changes
etc. and send us a copy of your CV on a regular basis.
Unit Base
This is the address we give you for a location shoot.
It is the rendezvous for everybody and the actual location
may not be there but will be within walking distance.

Our clients always expect you to take along a good selection
